terms
The agreement,
in plain language.
Last revised 5 October 2026
Before anything else
Apodeixis is a small company. This page is written to be read rather than skimmed past. It says what we ask of you and what we promise in return, without hiding obligations inside sentences.
These terms cover this website and any Apodeixis software you obtain from us. They are written about the company, not about one product, because the company is what you are dealing with. Where an instrument behaves differently from another, we will say so rather than pretend they are the same thing.
One honest note on what this document is. It was written by the founder, not by a lawyer. It is our best plain reading of the agreement we are offering, and it is binding on us. It is not legal advice to you. If you need that, or if you use an Apodeixis instrument inside a business where these terms sit awkwardly against your own obligations, talk to your own counsel before relying on it.
What you are agreeing to. By using this site or downloading an Apodeixis instrument, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use it. There is no account to click through and no trial that quietly converts, because there is nothing here to convert you from.
Who you are dealing with
Apodeixis is an independent company based in Bosnia and Herzegovina. We build instruments: software that lives on your own machine rather than on ours. Lumora, a private tutor, is our first. It will not be the last, and later instruments may work differently enough to need their own terms. Those, when they exist, will be published with the instrument rather than folded in here.
The licence we grant
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Apodeixis software on any number of devices you personally own or control, and to read and browse this site.
Everything else stays ours. Our software is closed source and stays that way. You may not resell it, rent access to it, sublicense it, redistribute it, or present it as your own work. You may not reverse engineer it except where that restriction is void under applicable law, and you may not publish or distribute its source.
What an instrument produces for you is yours. In Lumora, lesson content the app generates is yours to keep, share and publish, and it is generated for you alone, so publishing it cannot infringe us. That principle holds across what we build: our work makes your work possible, and your work stays yours.
If you want to extend an instrument for your own use, write to n.babic32@outlook.com and we will usually say yes. That is a conversation, not a right, and the answer is not guaranteed.
Third-party components inside our installers. Our instruments bundle open source software and openly licensed model weights. Lumora, for example, includes faster-whisper for speech recognition and Supertonic for voice. Those components remain under their own licences, which apply to them rather than to our code. The licence texts ship inside the installer, and we will disclose our own use of them on request.
What an instrument is, and what it is not
Our instruments are tools. They are meant to be good at something specific, and they are not authorities on anything. Where an instrument involves machine learning, including third-party models we do not control, these limits apply:
- It can be wrong. These systems produce errors, miss nuance, and sometimes invent something plausible and false. Nothing we make should be treated as authoritative on any subject where being wrong has consequences.
- It is not a substitute for judgement. If a matter touches your health, your money, your law, or anyone else's safety, verify it somewhere accountable to humans.
- It is a work in progress. We build in public, often in closed testing. Features can change and early versions can break in ways nobody anticipated.
If one of our instruments tells you something wrong, that is our failure and we will want to hear about it. It is not a failure you could reasonably have been expected to guard against.
Your side of it
- Your data is yours. Where an instrument keeps data on your machine, we have no copy of it. We cannot restore it and we hold no backup.
- Back up what you care about. That cuts both ways. Because we hold nothing, deleting your data means it is gone. There is no copy with us to recover from.
- Your keys are your responsibility. Any API key you configure pays a third-party provider on your behalf. Keep it on your machine, and never paste it where you do not trust.
- Keep it legal. Do not use our software to break the law, infringe anyone else's rights, or build something you have no right to build.
No warranty
This site and our software are provided as is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We test properly and we fix what we break, but we cannot promise that a page will always be available or that an instrument will never fail at what it is for.
Liability
To the full extent the law allows, Apodeixis is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this site or our software, including lost data, lost profit, or lost learning. We are a small company and this is not a figure of speech: there is no entity behind us large enough to absorb a serious claim, which is precisely why we ask you to back up your own work.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for our fraud or wilful misconduct.
Availability and changes
Our software runs on your computer, so it works when your computer works. Things described as planned may never ship, and we would rather say so plainly than promise and disappoint.
We may update our software, this site, and these terms. When a change matters, it will be visible in the release notes or on this page. If these terms ever change in a way that reduces what you are owed, that change will not apply retroactively.
Law and standing
Nothing on this site or in our software creates a partnership, employment relationship, or agency between you and Apodeixis. Nothing here is designed to override the mandatory consumer protections you hold in your own country; where local law gives you more than this page promises, local law wins.
Contact
If any of this is unclear, or if you think we have broken it, write to n.babic32@outlook.com. Every message is read by the person who wrote the code, and the person who wrote the code is the person who wrote this page.
See also our privacy page, which is shorter than this one because there is genuinely less to say.
